LASIK pioneer surgeon Dr. Gary Tylock, M.D. has been a major contributor to the evolution of eye surgery, refining laser vision correction treatments used on millions of people throughout the world. Dr. Tylock has been active in the field of laser vision correction. Utilizing his team of engineers, Dr. Tylock designed and built one of the first Excimer Lasers used in the United States designed specifically for the LASIK procedure.
Dr. Tylock also has extensive experience treating patients with cataracts in his private practice in Irving, serving the Dallas / Fort Worth, Texas area. In addition, Dr. Tylock has over 20 years experience in training other doctors in the latest cataract and lens implant surgical techniques at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas where he served as an Associate Clinical Professor.
In 2004, Dr. Tylock was recognized by his colleagues, receiving the “Distinguished Service Award” for his expertise and dedication in teaching surgical techniques to other doctors specializing in ophthalmology at Southwestern Medical Center.
