From first consultation to life-changing clarity—here’s how EVO ICL transforms vision, step by step.
Thinking about ditching glasses or contacts for good? If you’ve been told you’re not a candidate for LASIK, or you simply want a vision correction solution that’s removable, flexible, and long-lasting, EVO ICL might be the perfect fit.
At Tylock-George Eye Care, we know that deciding to have a procedure on your eyes is a big deal. That’s why we’re here to guide you through every step of the journey—from consultation to your clear new world.
Here’s what the EVO ICL experience looks like for most of our patients:
Step 1: Your Personalized Consultation
Your journey starts with a comprehensive eye exam and consultation. We’ll check your vision, measure the shape and health of your eyes, and discuss your lifestyle and goals.
EVO ICL is a great option for:
- People with moderate to severe nearsightedness
- Those with thin corneas or dry eyes (who may not be LASIK candidates)
- Patients looking for a removable vision correction option
- People with or without astigmatism
If you’re a good candidate, we’ll walk you through everything you need to know and get your procedure scheduled.
Step 2: Pre-Op Measurements & Preparation
Once you’re approved, we’ll take highly detailed measurements of your eyes to custom order your EVO ICL lenses. These measurements ensure a perfect fit for your unique eyes and the best possible visual results.
We’ll also go over pre-op instructions, including stopping contact lens wear a few days before surgery (if applicable), and provide any necessary prescriptions for post-op eye drops.
Step 3: The Procedure
On the day of your EVO ICL surgery, you’ll arrive at our office and be prepped by our surgical team. The procedure itself takes only about 20–30 minutes and is done on an outpatient basis—meaning you go home the same day.
Most patients describe the experience as quick and painless. You’ll be awake, but numbing drops keep you from feeling any pain. A tiny opening is made to gently insert the ICL lens behind your iris and in front of your natural lens. No tissue is removed—and the lens stays hidden, doing its job quietly and effectively.
Step 4: Quick Recovery & Follow-Up
You’ll rest for a bit after the procedure, then head home (with a friend or family member to drive you). Many patients already notice improved vision within hours of the procedure.
We’ll see you the next day for a follow-up to make sure everything is healing the way it should. Most people return to work or school within 1–2 days and resume their normal activities shortly after.
Step 5: Enjoy Your New Vision
EVO ICL offers sharp, high-definition vision—often better than what you achieved with glasses or contacts. And because the lens is designed to stay in place permanently (but can be removed if ever needed), you get long-term clarity and peace of mind.
Plus, EVO ICL lenses include built-in UV protection, helping shield your eyes from long-term sun damage!

At Tylock-George Eye Care, we’ve helped many patients achieve the freedom and confidence that comes with clear vision. Whether you’re working long hours on a screen or just tired of the hassle of contacts, EVO ICL can give you a fresh start—one you’ll wish you did sooner.
