About Dr. Mark S Hayes

Dr. Hayes is a highly experienced optometrist based in Plano-Mckinney Texas, with over 20 years of expertise in managing LASIK and cataract pre- and post-operative care. Dr. Hayes completed undergraduate studies in microcellular biology at the University of Colorado, Boulder, earning a Bachelor of Science degree. Dr. Hayes then earned a Doctor of Optometry degree from the Southern College of Optometry.

With extensive training in LASIK, PRK, and refractive surgeries, including cataract surgery, Dr. Hayes has become a trusted name in the field. Having personally undergone LASIK and cataract surgery, Dr. Hayes brings a unique perspective and deep empathy to patient care.

Dr.Hayes is also a seasoned presenter, sharing insights and advancements in optometry at various professional gatherings.

Today I am looking forward to the wealth of knowledge and experience that Dr Taj Nasser MD has to further my growth in the field of eye. Dr. Hayes brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to every procedure.

Outside Interests

Outside of the clinic, Dr. Hayes enjoys Sports, Family and Church. Whether it’s Figure Skating or Church, or spending time with family and friends, these activities help Dr. Hayes stay balanced and bring a well-rounded perspective to patient care.

Just a side note Dr Hayes was a former USA competitive figure skater, representing the United States at home and abroad. Today Dr Hayes still is involved with the sport as United States Figure Skating Judge.
